- Oakville is unincorporated, so St. Louis County enforces the residential code. Its own re-roofing guide says a like-for-like asphalt-shingle replacement on a roof sloped 4:12 or steeper needs no building permit; one is required when the slope is under 4:12, when more than a quarter of the sheathing is replaced, or when the covering changes material.
- My roof has two layers. Do you remove both?
- On a full replacement, yes: we tear off to the decking, then replace any sheathing that is soft or damaged and show it in the estimate.
- Do you pull the permits?
- Yes. We pull the permit on every job that requires one. Which office issues it depends on the city or county, and the service-area pages show it wherever we have the official answer.
- Is your work covered by a warranty?
- Yes. We give a written labor and workmanship warranty: 5 years on full roof replacements, siding or gutter jobs, and 3 months on repairs and roof layovers. The details are on the warranty certificate you receive for your job.
